Chemical Structure

2-([2-(Methylamino)-2-oxoethyl]thio)benzoic acid CAS 949752-09-4 chemical structure

Description

2-([2-(Methylamino)-2-oxoethyl]thio)benzoic acid (C10H11NO3S) contains a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic scaffold, an amide group, a sulfone group, a hydroxyl group, an ether linkage. It is notably hygroscopic, its high carbon-to-hydrogen ratio confers good lipid solubility, the carboxyl group imparts weak acidity; these physicochemical properties determine the optimal preparation and storage of its standard solutions. The high carbon-to-hydrogen ratio imparts good lipophilicity, allowing liquid-liquid extraction with non-polar solvents such as n-hexane or ethyl acetate.

2-([2-(Methylamino)-2-oxoethyl]thio)benzoic acid (CAS 949752-09-4) is a high-purity analytical reference standard with the molecular formula C10H11NO3S and a molecular weight of 225.26 g/mol.

Recommended for analytical method development and validation; each product is supplied with a full Certificate of Analysis (COA) ensuring ISO 17034 metrological traceability.

CATO manufactures 2-([2-(Methylamino)-2-oxoethyl]thio)benzoic acid under ISO 17034:2016 accreditation with dual CNAS and ANAB accreditation. Each batch is characterized by orthogonal methods and supplied with a full Certificate of Analysis (COA), ensuring metrological traceability.
