Chemical Structure

Articaine Impurity C7 CAS 23964-64-9 chemical structure

Description

The molecular framework of Articaine Impurity C7 (C10H12ClNO3S) is characterized by a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic scaffold, an amide group, a sulfone group, a hydroxyl group, an ether linkage, chlorine substitution. In reversed-phase chromatography, its retention is governed primarily by its high hydrophobicity (logP), which provides a practical basis for HPLC-UV/DAD or LC-MS method development. The presence of an aromatic ring or conjugated system gives the compound characteristic absorption bands in the UV-Vis region, making it well suited to UV or diode-array detection (DAD).

CATO supplies Articaine Impurity C7 (CAS 23964-64-9), a pharmacopoeial impurity reference standard (molecular formula C10H12ClNO3S, MW 261.73 g/mol) used for the identification and quantification of trace impurities in APIs.

Recommended for quantitative analysis by HPLC, GC, LC-MS/MS, or GC-MS as an external calibration standard; it can also be used for spiked-recovery experiments, LOD/LOQ determination, and LC-MS/MS multiple-reaction-monitoring (MRM) calibration.

CATO manufactures Articaine Impurity C7 under ISO 17034:2016 accreditation with dual CNAS and ANAB accreditation. Each batch is characterized by orthogonal methods and supplied with a full Certificate of Analysis (COA), ensuring metrological traceability.
