Chemical Structure

Dopamine Impurity 100 CAS CATO-C4X-1908100 chemical structure

Description

CATO supplies Dopamine Impurity 100 (CAS CATO-C4X-1908100), a pharmacopoeial impurity reference standard (molecular formula C9H9NO3, MW 179.17 g/mol) used for the identification and quantification of trace impurities in APIs.

Dopamine Impurity 100 (C9H9NO3) contains an amino-acid-derived structure, an amide group, a hydroxyl group, an ether linkage. It is notably hygroscopic, the carboxyl group imparts weak acidity; these physicochemical properties determine the optimal preparation and storage of its standard solutions. Nitrogen-containing functional groups confer excellent ionization efficiency in positive-ion electrospray (ESI) mode, making the compound well suited to LC-MS/MS analysis.

Recommended for quantitative analysis by HPLC, GC, LC-MS/MS, or GC-MS as an external calibration standard; it can also be used for spiked-recovery experiments, LOD/LOQ determination, and LC-MS/MS multiple-reaction-monitoring (MRM) calibration.

CATO manufactures Dopamine Impurity 100 under ISO 17034:2016 accreditation with dual CNAS and ANAB accreditation. Each batch is characterized by orthogonal methods and supplied with a full Certificate of Analysis (COA), ensuring metrological traceability.
